1. Purpose
This policy explains how additional work requests outside standard 3PL fulfilment are handled.
Our core service includes storage, picking, packing, and despatch.
Requests outside these services may require additional labour and will be charged accordingly.
2. Scope
This policy applies to any customer request that requires manual work beyond standard fulfilment operations.
Examples include:
- Taking product photographs.
- Measuring products or packaging.
- Investigating manufacturing defects.
- Performing detailed stock inspections.
- Manual product audits.
- Preparing detailed reports.
3. Standard 3PL Services
Our standard fulfilment service includes:
- Receiving inventory.
- Storage.
- Order picking.
- Packing.
- Courier label generation.
- Parcel despatch.
Activities outside these services are treated as additional labour requests.
4. Additional Labour Charges
Where a request requires manual investigation or additional handling, a labour charge will apply.
These charges cover warehouse staff time spent completing the task.
Customers will normally be informed before the work is completed.
Charges will appear on the customer invoice through the warehouse management system.
5. Request Process
When a request is received:
- The request is reviewed by the operations team.
- If the request requires additional labour, the customer will be informed.
- Once approved, the warehouse team completes the work.
- The labour charge is then added to the customer account.
6. Operational Priority
Standard fulfilment operations are always prioritised to ensure customer orders are despatched on time.
Additional labour requests may be completed after normal warehouse operations where required.
7. Monitoring
We monitor the frequency of additional labour requests.
Where repeated requests occur, we may recommend operational changes to reduce unnecessary labour.
