1. Purpose
To explain how clients must prepare and deliver stock to the Scale 3PL warehouse.
2. Scope
Applies to all inbound deliveries including pallets, cartons and courier deliveries.
3. Responsibilities
Client

notify the warehouse before sending stock
-
provide packing lists
-
ensure cartons and pallets are correctly labelled.
4. Scale 3PL
-
receive deliveries
-
verify quantities
-
book stock into Mintsoft.
4. Procedure Steps
1. Notify the Warehouse
Clients must notify the warehouse before dispatching stock by emailing (goodsin@scale3pl.co.uk for our UK warehouse and goodsineu@scale3pl.co.uk for our EU warehouse) and await confirmation of a delivery date and time slot.
The notification should include:

client name
-
supplier name
-
expected delivery date
-
courier or pallet network
-
number of pallets or cartons
-
packing list
- ASN (Advanced Shipping Note) Number. You get this by booking your delivery on Mintsoft
- Customes declaration for shipping into our EU site
2. Prepare Cartons
Each carton should clearly show:

product SKU
-
product name
-
carton quantity.
3. Prepare Pallets
Pallets must:
-
be securely wrapped
-
be stable for forklift movement
-
include a packing list.
4. Delivery to Warehouse
Deliveries should arrive during warehouse receiving hours.
Drivers should report to the goods-in area.
5. Goods In Processing
Warehouse staff will:
-
check pallet or carton count
-
inspect for damage
-
book stock into Mintsoft.
6. Putaway
Once booked, stock is moved to a warehouse storage location and becomes available for order fulfilment.
5. Additional Controls
Unannounced deliveries may be delayed if receiving capacity is limited.
