To explain how warehouse operations may change during peak trading periods and how clients should prepare for these periods.

2. Scope

Applies to all Scale 3PL clients shipping orders during periods of unusually high order volume, such as:

  • Black Friday

  • Christmas peak

  • large promotional campaigns

  • viral product launches.

3. Responsibilities

Client

  • plan stock levels in advance

  • notify Scale 3PL of expected increases in order volume

  • review operational updates during peak periods.

Scale 3PL

  • adjust warehouse operations to handle increased order volume

  • communicate operational changes to clients.

4. Procedure Steps

1. Monitor Operational Updates

During peak periods, operational changes may be announced through the Scale 3PL operational updates page.

The page provides guidance on any temporary operational adjustments.

2. Typical Peak Changes

Operational changes during peak periods may include:

  • revised order cut-off times

  • adjusted courier collection schedules

  • additional fulfilment capacity

  • prioritisation of certain order types.

These changes help the warehouse maintain dispatch speed and order accuracy during periods of high demand.

3. Client Preparation

To ensure smooth fulfilment during peak periods, clients should:

  • deliver sufficient stock to the warehouse in advance

  • notify Scale 3PL of planned marketing campaigns

  • monitor the operational updates page for announcements.

4. Campaign Coordination
